Randy is the Managing Partner of Rifdaan Novarazka & Prabowo and head of Corporate practice. His practice covers a full range of international business transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and corporate reorganization. Well-known for his commercial approach and in-depth knowledge of complex Indonesian investment and regulatory issues, Randy has represented numerous clients on the acquisition of manufacturing, technology, pharmaceutical, infrastructure, mining, power and energy and resources companies in Indonesia. He also has assisted multinational clients on the establishment of Indonesian joint ventures in various sectors as well as in negotiation of deal terms.
He graduated cum laude from the faculty of law of Universitas Katolik Parahyangan and was a class valedictorian. Prior to establishing Rifdaan Novarazka & Prabowo, Randy worked in international law firms in Jakarta and Singapore.

She graduated with a bachelor of law degree from University of Indonesia in 2010, which made her the youngest person to be awarded the bachelor of law degree by the University of Indonesia at that time. About
John practices commercial litigation and arbitration. In his previous work at a top-tier boutique law firm in Jakarta, he has represented multinational companies and major Indonesian corporations in court and arbitral proceedings on mining, oil and gas, environmental and shareholders disputes. Particularly on arbitration, John has also advised or represented clients in arbitrations under SIAC and UNCITRAL Rules, as well as in enforcement and annulment proceedings in Indonesian court.
John is also a leading academic on Indonesian arbitration law and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He has received appointments as expert witness on Indonesian arbitration law in arbitral proceedings under SIAC and BANI Rules, and his works on arbitration and Indonesian investment treaties have been published among others in the national media, in Indonesia Law Review and as part of an edited volume by Cambridge University Press as well as Oxford University Press. - Representing an Indonesian state-owned company in an UNCITRAL arbitration (seated in Singapore) in a dispute against its contractor concerning the sharing of revenue from a major gas pipeline. The case was particularly complex as it involved multiple agreements in which several applicable laws (Indonesian, Singaporean and New York law) must be considered and argued.
- Representing a major international mining company in a SIAC arbitration in a dispute regarding divestiture against its Indonesian joint venture partner.
- Representing numerous multinational companies in court proceedings to enforce international arbitral awards in Indonesia. Among the most notable is the representation of Transpac Capital Pte Ltd, a Singapore investment company, against a lawsuit by the award-debtor at the Central Jakarta District Court to nullify a SIAC award and the representation of Newmont Mining Corporation as the award-creditor to enforce a SIAC award at the Central Jakarta District Court.

- Representing PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (“NNT”), the Indonesian subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation, in a year-long dispute with NNT’s labor unions and the local manpower authority concerning working rosters at the Batu Hijau mine (one of the largest copper mines in the world).
- Representing NNT in an administrative court dispute concerning the deep-sea disposal of NNT’s tailings from the Batu Hijau mine (one of the largest such disposals in the world).
- Representing PT Kaltim Supacoal (“KSC”), the Indonesian subsidiary of White Energy Company Ltd, in KSC’s suspension of payment and bankruptcy proceedings initiated by several creditors.
- Representing NNT as Co-Defendant in a citizen lawsuit at the Central Jakarta District Court brought by the so-called representatives of the people of West Nusa Tenggara province against the government of Indonesia for the sale of NNT’s divested shares to the central government.
- Representing the Indonesian subsidiary of Air Asia before the Indonesian Supreme Court in a cassation against lower courts’ judgments which nullified the airline’s standard clause following a consumer lawsuit.

Rika practices general corporate law. Throughout her career, she has been extensively involved in advising on corporate and commercial laws, with principal areas of practice being mergers and acquisitions, joint venture, foreign investment and Indonesian business competition. Further, she was also involved in several financing and debt restructuring transactions.

Theo’s main practice areas are project finance and construction. She has been involved in a number of major construction projects in Indonesia, such as the development of MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) Phase I in Jakarta and Palapa Ring Broadband project. Her core expertise includes general conditions of contract for construction projects under FIDIC Red Book, FIDIC Yellow Book, FIDIC Green Book and NEC Contract Clauses. In recent years, Theo has published a number of influential journal articles including “Modification of Public Contract: Between Rule of Fair Competition and Freedom of Contract Principle” and “Responsibility on Building Failure under Indonesian Law”, issued in 2018 and 2020 respectively.

Alvin earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from Universitas Indonesia (cumlaude), and joined the firm after having previously interned at another prominent law firm in Jakarta. About
Mikaela graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia (cumlaude), specializing in business and economics law. While in university, she was an active member of the Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) and FH UI’s Student Executive Board (BEM FH UI), where she published numerous legal research articles under each organization.

Evan graduated cum laude from the faculty of law of Universitas Katolik Parahyangan and was a Class Salutatorian, with a particular focus on international economic law. While in law school, he served as president of Parahyangan International Law Society (PILS). Evan also represented Indonesia at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and Asia Cup International Law Moot Court Competition, winning multiple memorials and team awards.
